Crafted Academy offers hands-on injection training year-round, exclusively for licensed healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and dentists. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or seeking to refine advanced techniques, our expertly designed courses meet you at every stage. From foundational skills in our beginner programs to in-depth assessment and advanced injection strategies in our upper-level courses, Crafted Academy equips both emerging and experienced injectors to elevate their craft with confidence. With intentionally small class sizes, we ensure a focused, high-quality learning experience tailored to your success.

All courses are taught by our founder, Katie Brennan, FNP and co-faculty Whitney Carlson, FNP. Together our instructors have over 25 years of aesthetic experience and represent Allergan, Galderma and Revance as national company trainers.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

KATIE BRENNAN, FNP

Katie graduated with her bachelor’s in nursing at Carroll College and went on to get her Masters from Georgetown University. She worked as a family nurse practitioner for three years before diving into the aesthetics world and finding a love for making women feel confident in their own skin.

Education has always been the pillar of Crafted and my own personal journey. I have been selected for the last three years to be a national trainer for Galderma (maker of Dysport/Restylane), REvance aesthetics, and Allergan (maker of Botox/Juvederm) which enables me to bring the best care and products to all four of my clinics. As an injector, Katie feels her clients often come to her with issues that are more than skin deep. She states “it’s not about the botox“, it’s about being authentic and connecting, honestly sometimes I tell them they don’t need anything and we just have a good laugh

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

WHITNEY CARLSON, FNP

Whitney Carlson MSN, FNP-C has been practicing aesthetic dermatology for 15 years. She started her career assisting in facial plastic surgery and providing aesthetic services and helped build and grow a large medical spa in Anchorage, Alaska. After relocating to the Kenai Peninsula, she spent 10 years alongside Dr. Mathew Cannava at Dermatology and Skin Cancer Clinic of Alaska. She is a national trainer for Revance Aesthetics, makers of RHA fillers + Daxxify. She is also a faculty trainer for Crafted Academy and has trained over 150 injectors nationwide.

BEGINNER BOTOX COURSE

Our Beginner Botox Course combines essential didactic instruction with hands-on training. The class begins with an in depth review of pharmacology, safety protocols, contraindications, on and off-label indications, neurotoxin anatomy, and practice integration. In the second half, we shift to aesthetic mapping, procedural technique, and live hands-on injection practice—giving you the skills and confidence to begin your aesthetic journey. This class includes light bites, coffee and lunch, our comprehensive injecting manual, vial decapper and injection tools, our exclusive aesthetic welcome gift bag and certificate of completion.

COMBINED 2 DAY BEGINNER COURSE

When you attend our 2-day Beginner Botox and Filler Course, you will receive a $500 discount and you will be invited to a Marketing and Business Roundtable Dinner after your filler training day. This is an exclusive opportunity to gain valuable insights beyond the clinical setting. During this dinner, we’ll discuss legal considerations, strategies for integrating aesthetic services into your practice, social media and marketing ideas and answer common business related questions. It’s a collaborative space offering business strategies designed to support your success as you launch or grow your aesthetic career.

ADVANCED INJECTOR COURSE

Our Advanced Injecting Course is designed for experienced providers (1+ year experience) looking to elevate their aesthetic expertise through full-facial assessment and advanced treatment planning. This course focuses on comprehensive facial balancing consultations and teaches how to strategically combine traditional dermal fillers and neuromodulators with advanced techniques. You’ll also learn to incorporate biostimulatory treatments—including Radiesse®, Sculptra®, PRF, and PRF EZ-Gel—to support collagen production and long-term facial rejuvenation. This integrative approach empowers injectors to deliver more natural, balanced, and lasting results. This course emphasizes extensive hands-on training and advanced assessment. Included in your day is light bites and coffee, lunch, our exclusive aesthetic gift bag and certificate of completion.

ANATOMY + SAFETY

Understanding facial anatomy is essential for safe and effective neurotoxin injections. In this course, we focus on the underlying muscles responsible for expression, their function, and how neurotoxin precisely targets them to reduce dynamic wrinkles. A strong anatomical foundation allows injectors to achieve natural-looking results while minimizing risks and complications.

THE ART OF CONSULTATIONS

In our course, we teach the art of consultation as a foundational skill for success in medical aesthetics. You’ll learn how to conduct thorough, patient-centered consultations that go beyond surface concerns—focusing on listening, facial assessment, and goal-oriented treatment planning. We emphasize how to educate patients on realistic outcomes, build trust, and create customized plans that combine clinical precision with aesthetic artistry. This approach not only elevates your results but also helps foster long-term patient relationships and satisfaction.

HANDS ON INJECTING

Hands-on injection training is a critical component of becoming a confident and competent aesthetic injector. In our course, we place strong emphasis on real-time practice under expert supervision, allowing you to apply anatomical knowledge and injection techniques in a controlled, supportive environment. This immersive experience helps bridge the gap between theory and clinical application, reinforcing safety, precision, and artistry. Our small class sizes ensure personalized guidance and ample hands-on opportunities so you leave feeling prepared to safely and effectively treat patients.
